About these products: In October 2007, Farthest Corners purchased and donated two weaving looms that are being used by Burmese refugees in camps along the Thai border. They create lovely bags, scarves and table runners to be sold here and to other mission groups working in Thailand. There were two major reasons for making the purchase: to provide meaningful work and a source of revenue for the refugees in the camp and to create items that Farthest Corners supporters here and in Thailand can purchase to help further the mission in Burma. All funds collected are returned to the project for additional supplies. The money made from sales in Thailand allows the refugees to purchase supplies for the project and other necessities – food, medicine, etc.
